Tidal flood occurred on Thursday (6/4) night in South Thousand Islands and flooded 48 houses at RT 01 and 04 of RW 01 Lancang Island and Rt 02 and 04 of RW 04 Pari Island as high as 20-50 centimeters. Now, it has receded.

It starts to recede in the morning

Pari Island Urban Village Head, Mahtum assessed, tidal flood occurred due to extreme weather which happened in the past few weeks.

"It starts to recede in the morning. Evacuees have returned to their houses," he said, Friday (6/5).

When the flood occurred, his side deployed Satpol PP, PPSU person nel, RT/RW administrators and FKDM to patrol the region to evacuate the residents and ensure their safety.

"48 houses were flooded and the occupants evacuated to their relatives' houses while waiting it receded," he explained.

Not only Pari Island Urban Village, tidal flood also caused flood in the South and North sides of Tidung Island as high as 10-30 centimeters. But luckily, it didn't inundate the residents' houses.
